Talking about a Marketplace Revolution: Audiobook available now

Oct 28th, 2020

The journey of self-publishing Marketplace Revolution by David LePage has been dynamic and diverse.

The most recent leg of the journey was kicked off when a colleague who is blind asked about accessible options for reading Marketplace Revolution. With the crucial help from voice actor and audiophile, Nicolas Taggart, we decided to make an audio version of David LePage’s book. Plus, this would be perfect for all of those readers out there who prefer to read with their ears.

After listening to over sixty auditions, we were incredibly lucky to find Brittany Carter. An emerging voice actor star from Vancouver, BC, who conveyed through her reading a deep understanding of the subject matter. Balancing calm and professional with youth and energy, Brittany reads the book beautifully.

With studio and editing from local voice acting school, On the Mic, we spent two days fine tuning the recording, nailing down pronunciation and intonation. Shout out to Anand Giridharadas who is mentioned three times in the book and whose name is pronounced differently by every single person on YouTube.

Now we are thrilled to share this audiobook with you. It’s 90 minutes long and only $9. Your purchase supports the work of our social enterprise and the growth of the Marketplace Revolution! A dream of the social value marketplace: an economy that centres on community through human, physical, social, economic and cultural capital.
